Criteria

If you elect to include an optional video trailer, your trailer must fill the entirety of usable space in the video player at 16:9 aspect ratio and not exceed 2 minutes.

Additional details

The video trailer should be between 30 seconds and two minutes. Use 16:9 aspect ratio without letterboxing or pillarboxing. For more information, see the Store Art Guidelines.   • Good example: The following example shows an optional video trailer that meets the requirements for this VRC. Note that the trailer above fills the entirety of the usable space in the video player at the 16:9 aspect ratio.

Steps to test

  1. Watch the video trailer.
  2. Observe the length.
  3. Observe any letterboxing or pillarboxing.

Expected result

The video is less than 2 minutes long, uses 16:9 aspect ratio, and does not include letterboxing or pillarboxing.

Revisions

  • 2025-02-12: Trailers must fill the entire usable 16:9 area and avoid letterbox and pillarbox artifacts.
  • 2024-07-31: Removed App Lab from VRC platform requirements.
